Connecting a Chromebook to a Wi-Fi network

  1. Connect your Chromebook charger to your Chromebook

  2. Open the Chromebook lid. The device should power up automatically. If it fails to power up, press the power button.

  3. Once powered, your Chromebook will present the "Network not available" window:

  4. From the list presented, select your home Wi-Fi network. The Chromebook will present the "Join Wi-Fi network" window:

  5. The Security option may auto-select the correct security option, typically PSK (WPA or RSN). Your security option may differ. Choose what is appropriate for your Wi-Fi network and enter your home Wi-Fi password in the password field.

  6. Select Connect. Your Chromebook will present the "Sign into your Chromebook" window. You may now proceed as normal when logging into your Chromebook.
