Retaining Students

If a student is going to be retained, then PowerSchool must be updated to indicate this. While it can be done after rollover, it's ideal to do it prior.

  1. Locate the student within PowerSchool
  2. Choose Schedule Setup
  3. Update the field named Next Year Grade with the student's current grade level and increase the graduation year by one. 
  4. If the student was originally scheduled to move to a new building, change the Next School Indicator field back to the current building.
